This is really at a starting point. It has ryth guitars, bass and drums but needs a song put around it and lead istruments.
Just have some fun and pretend you are Angus or Bon LOL
I will post a new start track at a fixed bpm shortly
Nice Track....Sounds like Rush.
Blimey Eddie you have a good imagination there LOL and thankyou
You would be most welcome to do your stuff
I have taken the file down at the moment as I felt most guys would rather work to a fixed bpm for sequencing and editing but if you fancy blasting away feel free
OK
The files I have just uploaded are a little rough but they are now fixed at 140BPM so should be a good starting point.
Feel free to try anything you like.......anything goes.
Might be a good idea to post something like that on both of your recently project uploads in the status update so you reach a larger audience Ian.
Hi Fred
I would do but I still cant get through to the status update pages...is google still down?
Ian-
Let me verify the link used for updating. It does indeed give a google error when I press that too. I'll definitely look into this, and let you know what I find...
Ok if you click the View Status, link it opens the status, page, but if you click the Edit at the top of the status page..... same thing. Error.
So that tells me the edit link is ok on the blog. Next thing to do is to see if this error is unique to that status page. If it is, we'll setup a new status page, and see if the problem goes away.
That's been going on ling enough that I want to see if it's just that page's edit functions...
Let me know if it comes back for you Ian.
I just tried opening the status editor for Hopeless.... Same error. So it's looking like google has the eiding offline.
All we can do is wait a bit. If it comes back I'll notify ya.
If I see on the googlegroup your update is pending (because I am moderating now), I'll know it came back and you sent out a status update..
It's a pain, but at least now we know... Sorry for the inconvenience...
Hey Fred
I will keep checking and update the status asap
It seems strange that google would let a problem go on this long....I bet you wouldn't be able to talk to anyone about it though LOL
Cheers
I've sent a complaint to google about this error Ian.
I've sent a second complaint about this Ian, and it's looking like we are not the only googlegroup having this problem. Still no feedback from google. Still not able to do new pages on the googlegroup.
I'm looking for a workaround while we wait. Also looks like I need to change the New Project system too, because the blogs are no saving new project posts, as drafts instead of publishing them (as per Parry's recent attempts). I have it set to publish, I went and verified it, but it's not publishing them. I have an alternative in mind for this.
Problems, problems problems....
Just when I thought I was getting past them....
Hey Fred
There is always something to keep you busy LOL
Very nice page Fred Thankyou
Hi Ian-
I didn't see any mix for this project, that I could use as a "Latest Mix" to stream. Only separates. Need a demo mix.
If you send one up call it "Latest_Mix.mp3".
Thanks.
If we had a "Latest_Mix.mp3" for this one, I could include it in the streaming listing.
Uploaded thanks Fred
I posted a short track with guitar and bass to the 4shared folder.
the upload froze at 89% so I hit stop. But maybe it got there anyway.
I did a variation of the originial, but not sure where to go with it.

Hi Kenny
The original idea was only a very basic jam so feel free to take it in any direction and just use the basic drum track if you wish.

I looked at the embed code that 4shared uses. They actually intend for their folders to be embedded but their code is slightly different than what I used. I think this difference is what causes it to freeze up, during the upload. I will try using their embed code and see if it helps. It should since they intend it to be used this way. That's why they give the embed code. It's been freezing up for me too. It'll probably be a few days, as I am going to be away for a few. Just to let you know I am on this...
Ian-
There are 3 files called test.mp3 in your Project 01 folder. You can remove them. They are not relevant to this project. Just testing their code (which doesn't seem to let it go to 100% either). I suspect it is just the indicator that doesn't finish. The file seems to make it there.
Even their code doesn't let it finish. I've contacted them about this. We'll see what happens. It's always something huh?
LOL
Cheers Fred and good luck with 4share I hope they can help
Just out of curiosity I tried the "Multi-upload" tab on the uploader in the files area (4shared), and it went to 100% inside the iframe.
Problem solved then ........ COOL
Yeah I did a little testing to verify, and when I used the single file upload it froze every time the way Ken described. When I jumped to the Multiupload tab it worked every time. So I've added a little blinking prompt to use that tab, just below the files uploader at the bottom of the window. I think that should get everyone's attention to use that tab, don't you? That does indeed seem to solve it.
Well I "Blinking" well noticed it and I'm still half asleep LOL
is it ok to delete the tests
